Like more and more people these days I was keen to be able to grow at least some of my own food, but like others living in a city, had been frustrated by the long wait for an allotment plot.

Having just a small backyard, not receiving that much light at that, I realised that the only place I could realistically grow my fruit and veg. was on my windowsill !
